ADHD Assessments for Adults

Our ADHD Assessments have 3 – 4 stages:
Stage 1. Pre-Assessment Admin. This includes a screen to check if an assessment is warranted. We only take the fee if you pass Stage 1.
Stage 2. Ten formal assessment tools/ questionnaires. Eight are self report and two are for observers: someone who currently knows you well, and someone who knew you in childhood. We also request excerpts from school reports if available.
Stage 3. At least two hours (to 2.5 hours) of clinical interviews with a qualified and experienced Psychologist.
Stage 4. Recommended to clients with (a) additional diagnoses or (b) with a potential inconclusive outcome or (c) for clients who would like an objective measure of their attention/ inhibition/ hyperactivity compared to age and gender. This is a specialised QB check software . It is an extra session and costs £145 or £195 (depending on administering Clinician). It can be conducted remotely.
A detailed Clinical Report will be provided (around 20 pages) plus a personal summary, as well as letters for reasonable adjustments for study and work (no extra fee).
The fee for our three stage adult ADHD assessment is £850.
Should you elect (or be advised) to have an additional Stage 4 of a QB check appointment, this is an additional £145 or £195 (depending on administering Clinician). For more information, click on the QB Check software video.

Medication for ADHD (age 11+)
The ADHD diagnosis must have been made by a Psychologist within Malvern Hills Private Practice (MHPP) or by a Psychologist registered with our Partnership Program.
Please check with your assessor to see if they are registered with us. If not they are welcome to complete our Partnership Application form to apply.
Fees for a Medication Assessment are as follows:
- Initial Medication Assessment (50 mins) – £295
- Follow up (25 – 30 mins) – £147.50
- Prescriptions outside of appointments (£30)
Please allow at least 3 follow up appointments to fully stabilise dose and type of medication. The pharmacy will charge a fee for your private prescription to be filled which can be between £60 and £150 depending on type, dose and amount.
Once you are stable on medication, our prescriber will write to your GP to request a shared care arrangement.
ADHD Coaching/ Therapy
Medication for ADHD is known to be most effective when combined with targeted psychological treatments. We offer the following:
- Education around ADHD and understanding role of executive functioning in everyday life
- Handouts to share with family/ improve relationship understanding
- Coping strategies/ goal setting/ problem solving/ accountability
- Improving sleep/ lifestyle changes
- Improving self esteem
- Activities to enhance functioning
- Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to improve core beliefs that may have developed such as “I am not good enough”
- Using EMDR to heal past hurts, rejections and humiliations that may have occurred during times
- EMDR to increase confidence and improve self esteem
- Using Compassion Focussed Therapy to address the impact of ADHD on an individual’s wellbeing
- Dialectical Behaviour Skills for managing emotional dysregulation and impulsive tendencies
- Treatment of depression, anxiety or trauma that are often co-occurring with a lifetime of ADHD struggles
- Opportunity to meet with our dietician to consider the impact of food and nutrition on brain functioning, emotional regulation, medication metabolization and executive functioning.-

Psychologist Partnership Program
Our ADHD Partnership Pathway creates cross service collaboration. We provide a medication service for clients who who have been assessed by a Psychologist on our Partnership Pathway. Medication is provided by one of our ADHD Specialist Prescriber team, such as Bolu Abifarin, who sees clients from ages 11 + through to adulthood.

- You will be sent an email invite to book a free 20 minute remote discussion with Dr Abigail Pamich, Consultant Clinical Psychologist using our online diary.
There is no cost to becoming a partner. We simply ask that all partners meet assessment and report standards as required by GPs (for shared care).
